This blog is only updated during the Summer when I prefer to drink wine and discover new Vinters, Varietals, and Vineyards. However, from time to time throughout the year you may find a rouge post here and there. Please remember, that I am an amateur wine drinker, so my notes and observations on the blog are my own personal inexperienced notes. As I grow and develop my pallet, I hope that my notes and annotations will develop and refine as well. Until then, enjoy my blog and my adventures.

Santero Sara Bee Moscato

This season I'm starting off with a nice sweet Moscato that I picked up at Trader Joe's. What are your start off dinner wines?

What the Vinter had to say:

Santero Sara Bee Moscato is a sweet, lightly sparkling (frizzante) Italian white wine from Puglia, known for its fruity and floral notes of peach, pear, and honeysuckle, with a low alcohol content (around 5.5%)

Key characteristics
Winery: Santero
Grape: Moscato (Muscat)
Style: Sweet, frizzante (lightly sparkling)
Region: Puglia, Southern Italy
Alcohol: ~5.5% ABV
Flavor Profile: Peach, pear, apricot, honeysuckle, citrus, and floral notes
Serving: Serve well-chilled; adding an ice cube is acceptable
Pairing: Desserts, spicy foods, or as an aperitif
What to expect
Taste: A balance of sweetness from fruit and a clean, fresh finish with some minerality.
Bubbles: Light, tiny bubbles (frizzante) rather than a full, aggressive sparkle.

My personal amateur notes:

Earthy plum Floral Tangy fresh candy crisp smooth finish very light

I'll definitely be picking a few more bottles up for picnics and social gatherings.
